LEGAL / PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
Effective July 14, 2026
1. Scope
This policy explains how Forge Media (“Forge,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information through forge-media.net, the Forge desktop application and Forge integrations with third-party services.
2. Local media
Forge is designed to process media on the user’s computer. Ordinary card detection, ingest verification, file organization during ingest and culling do not require original media to be uploaded to Forge-operated storage. When a user selects a third-party delivery destination, Forge transmits the selected files and metadata to that provider on the user’s instruction.
3. Information we may process
- Contact information and messages sent to Forge support, privacy or security addresses.
- Technical website data such as IP address, browser type, request time and diagnostic logs maintained by the hosting provider.
- Integration authorization information, including provider identifiers, authorization codes, access tokens and refresh tokens needed to connect an account.
- Files, folders, metadata or account information that the user directs Forge to access through an integration.
- Application diagnostics that the user deliberately submits for support.
4. How information is used
Forge uses information to provide requested workflow actions, maintain authorized integrations, secure and troubleshoot the service, answer support requests, comply with law and improve product reliability. Forge does not sell connected-account data, use it for targeted advertising or use it to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.
5. Third-party integrations
When a user connects a provider, that provider’s terms and privacy practices also apply. Forge requests access based on the selected integration and uses provider data only to perform or support the user-requested function.
Forge’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
6. Sharing
Forge may share information with infrastructure and service providers that operate the website or integration service, with third-party platforms selected by the user, when required by law, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. Forge does not permit providers to use connected-account data for their own advertising.
7. Retention and deletion
Forge retains information only as long as needed for the purpose described, to maintain an active connection, to resolve security or support issues, or to meet legal obligations. Disconnecting a provider stops future access but may not delete files already delivered to that provider. See the data deletion instructions.
8. Security
Forge uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No storage or transmission system is guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your choices
Users may decline an integration, disconnect a connected account, revoke Forge through the provider, request deletion of Forge-controlled information or contact Forge with an access or correction request.
10. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to privacy@forge-media.net.
